Using the Tools
• Scissors Tool  Not my most used tool, but when you need it, it's handy. There's a little more to it than it looks, though.

• Zoom Tool  This video is more than the tool...it's about how NOT to use the tool. Use these handy shortcuts, instead.
Palettes
• Info Palette  This is one of my most used features and I'm sharing it with you. Please don't miss this...thank me later.
• Object Styles Palette  Style sheets for objects...there ya go. Simple to describe, but a very powerful and time saving feature.
• Separations Preview Palette  Check for unwanted spot colors, CMYK Blacks, overprints and more with this Preview palette.
Creating a Document
• Snippets One  Brand new to InDesign CS2, Snippets change the way we work...they're that revolutionary.
• Snippets Two  Just as bad as episode one, but more of it.
• New Document  Get off on the right foot by setting up your document right.
• Libraries  If you copy/paste at least once a day, you'll want to migrate your habits to using a Library. Saves time, really.
• Don't Allow Pages to Shuffle  Wanna make a spread but page one is always on the right. You can fix that.
• Tighter Border Control  InDesign's default borders are different. Figure out Stroke Align and make them work for you.

Automatic Page Numbering  Stop numbering pages manually...let InDesign do it for you, and make changes, too. 
Point/Pica Size  You can now change the number of points in an inch from PostScript to Traditional...and back again for more fun.
Type Stuff
Optical Margin Alignment   Make your type look better with better justification using Optical Margin Alignment. 
• Optical Kerning  Spend less time Kerning, and more time...uh...well...that's up to you.

• Drop Caps  Although not limited to Caps, this feature can make your type look snazzier and it's easy, too.

• Hyphenation   There's more to Hyphenation than just putting in...well...and hyphen. Watch and learn.
• Bold and Italic  There aren't buttons for Stylized Type any more...and good thing. So how do you apply fake bold and ital now?
• Kerning and Tracking  Let's make the type look good, folks. Tighten it up or loosen it up with Kerning and Tracking.
• Creating Outlines  Want to put a photo in your type? Learn how and more.
• Dynamic Spelling  Everyone hates the embarrassing tyops that can pop up. Now you can spell check as you go.
• Adjust Text Attributes When you scale type and want to see the actual size, or not, you'll want to understand this feature.
• Ignore Text Wrap  Text Wrap is great, but what if you're putting type over a photo? Make it ignore the wrap.
• The Great Missing Font Mystery  Do fonts mysteriously just show as missing, with no reason? This could be why.
Adjust Space Automatically When Cutting and Pasting Words   I think the name of this Preference pretty well covers it.
Font Preview   Thanks to the CS2 upgrade, you can have a WYSIWYG preview of your fonts from the drop down menu.
• What are Styles  Format your type quicker than ever, plus add consistency and last-minute global editing and you've got a winner.
• Creating Styles  Creating Paragraph and Character Styles is a cinch...you'll wonder why you didn't start using them sooner.
• Nested Styles  If you want multiple formats within a paragraph, Character Styles alone doesn't cut it...check out Nested Styles.
Working with Frames
Linking Text Frames, Pt. 1   Understanding the In Ports and the Out Ports.

Overprint   If you aren't familiar with InDesign's Overprint settings and other tools to control them, you might get a surprise on press.

Adobe Swatch Exchange  Share swatches across InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop for added speed and consistency. 
Plug-ins and other Junk
